But Carter can change the outcome of the game with one swing and those hitters rarely exist in Japan. I really hope he signs with an NPB team and it's interesting to see how he does here.
Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6030223459426551975.post-25536709963835857582019-09-16T17:12:27.440-04:002019-09-16T17:12:27.440-04:00I found some irony in the fact that Carter led the...I found some irony in the fact that Carter led the league in both strikeouts AND walks, so he does seem to have an idea about the strike zone and enough discipline to not swing at every bad pitch...I wonder how many of those third strikes were called, as opposed to swung at?

Anyway, I think he could do well in Japan. He may never hit for a high average and history suggests the strikeouts will continue, but a guy with light-tower power is always going to be in demand and his high rate of walks tells me his OBP will make up for his batting average.

But can he hit the shuuto?Bruce Baskinhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02503173315683332913noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-6030223459426551975.post-78446003362111207262019-09-16T05:22:07.213-04:002019-09-16T05:22:07.213-04:00Hi. I hope he does sign with an NPB team and makes a necessary adjustment for Japanese style of baseball. Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
